The Mission
Zaragoza has a clear goal: getting its businesses to lead the climate transition by 2030.
This purpose is part of the commitment adopted by the Zaragoza City Council after being selected by the European Commission as one of the 100 European cities to accelerate the transformation towards climate neutrality by 2030, within the framework of the European Mission of Smart and Climate-Neutral Cities. This designation positions Zaragoza with a competitive advantage for attracting funding, investments, and strategic alliances, decisively driving collaboration between the public and private sectors.
The key instrument to achieve these goals is the City Climate Agreement, which reflects the commitments assumed by the Zaragoza City Council and to which other entities, companies, organizations, and administrations sharing this collective purpose of building a greener, more inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable city can adhere.
